Who we are
Caroline Bury and Rebecca Kirkland combined resources to establish Bury & Kirkland, a design business that represents creative and service excellence.

What we do
Our commitment to producing outstanding design solutions has resulted in a rapidly growing residential and commercial client list, while feedback has indicated high levels of satisfaction for our functional and innovative designs, as well as for the service and value for money that we offer.

Bury & Kirkland plan and detail commercial and residential building interiors to make the most effective use of the space available. The various factors that affect our response to a living or working environment (view, position of the sun, number of people, doors, appliances and so on) are all taken into account.

Our designs enable people to live and work more efficiently, more comfortably, and more pleasurably in an aesthetically pleasing and functional environment. Commercial clients are shown how they can operate more profitably.

The allocation of space, traffic flow, furniture, fixtures, furnishing and surface finishes are all meticulously planned. The purpose, efficiency, comfort, safety and aesthetics of interior spaces are all painstakingly studied so as to arrive at an optimum design.

We design and specify furniture, lighting, walls, partitions, flooring, colour, fabrics, and graphics to produce an environment that is both tailored and customised to a purpose.Frequently, we work as part of a team that may include architects, builders, project managers, engineering consultants, shop fitters, joiners, furniture and materials suppliers.

We can organise the modification of building structures, and the purchasing of materials and furnishings. We can even recommend the tradespeople required to implement your project.

How we go about it
After an initial consultation either on site or in our studio, we can:

  • Develop a concept
  • Source and select components, tradespeople and quotations
  • Design, oversee and manage the making and construction of all components
